From Collapse to Construction

I used to make other people’s problems my own.
I thought love meant rescue. It cost me nearly everything.

Even now, when I walk past someone on the street, my heart still breaks.
It doesn’t mean I’m naïve. It means I still care.

The difference is, I finally understand that saving the world doesn’t mean losing myself.

My empathy works best when it’s designed into systems that protect everyone, including me.
That’s the work now.

When I mention that I’m thinking about running for office, people usually blink twice.
Politics!?

Maybe so. Because at some point, helping people has to move from theory to practice.

It means less talking, more building.
Fewer opinions, more action.

Rolling up your sleeves, burning the midnight oil, choosing diplomacy over noise.

That’s how change happens. Quietly at first, then all at once.
